It takes a very long process to be able to convey feelings and thoughts in written form in any foreign language. Learning a foreign language and expressing yourself in this foreign language by writing can only be achieved by gaining some skills. Acquiring and improving writing skills can be as a result of assimilation of learned information and gaining experience. Considering that people make various mistakes even when using their native language, it is quite normal to make various mistakes during the development of writing skills in a learned foreign language. This study was prepared in order to determine the mistakes made by Turkish language learners in Sudan in their written expressions. In the study, it was aimed to determine the mistakes in written expressions of foreign students learning Turkish at A2 level in Sudan and the reasons for these mistakes. For this purpose, free and guided writing subjects were given to 10 students learning Turkish as a foreign language in Sudan and they were asked to write two essays on these subjects. These compositions were collected from the students over a two-week period. In the study, based on the data obtained as a result of the examination of the written expressions of the students, the error analysis approach was used in the detection and evaluation of learning errors and deficiencies. Content analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the analysis of the data. The data obtained; phonetic errors, morphological errors, syntax errors, lexical-semantic errors, spelling-punctuation errors. According to the findings of the research, it was seen that the points that the students made the most mistakes were in terms of phonetics and morphology.
