The purpose of this research is to examine the opinions of secondary school Turkish textbook authors on the narration skills in the Turkish Language Curriculum (2019). Textbook authors better observe the functionality, positive and negative aspects of the achievements in the Turkish Language Curriculum (2019) at the stage of creating a textbook. For this reason, the opinions of the authors on the acquisition of speaking and writing skills are important both in terms of a more qualified Turkish teaching and in terms of developing the curriculum. The research was planned as a qualitative case study. Interviews were made with 10 participants who had experience in writing a 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade secondary school Turkish textbook. The data were collected with a semi-structured interview form and analyzed by content analysis technique. Speaking skill acquisitions; It has been found insufficient in terms of the fact that the learning outcomes are few in number, the same outcomes are repeated at all grade levels, some outcomes cannot be implemented, they do not attract the attention of the students, they are insufficient in terms of rhetoric and diction skills, they are not suitable for measurement and evaluation, and the topics suitable for speaking outcomes cannot be determined. Writing skill acquisitions; It has been criticized because the process-based writing model is not fully taken as a basis, grammar acquisitions are included under this skill, there are many acquisitions within the writing skill, the acquisitions generally do not improve the writing skills of the students, and the writing method techniques are limited. It has been revealed that the gains are not considered sufficient in terms of being able to be transformed into an activity at the stage of writing the textbook and improving the students' speaking skills. In addition, it has been determined as the general result of the research that the teaching skill acquisitions in the Turkish Language Curriculum (2019) should be reviewed and that the writers of the curriculum should benefit from the experiences of the textbook authors while determining the outcome.
